Description

About Neutron and the project

Neutron is a Singapore technology company that builds and runs mission-critical digital platforms for government, regulated industries and large enterprises. We are building a delivery team in Kuala Lumpur for a large-scale platform modernisation programme.

The programme replaces a long-running legacy system with a cloud-native platform on AWS, with configurable workflows, a new user experience and integration with external systems. It is a multi-year engagement covering delivery and post-go-live support.

These roles are full-time, based in Kuala Lumpur and on-site with the client. The start date is subject to project confirmation.

About the role

You will lead quality on a high-volume, business-critical platform with strict performance targets, and hand the client a regression suite they can keep running after go-live.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the test strategy and plan across functional, integration, system (SIT), user acceptance (UAT), regression and non-functional testing.

  • Lead a team of test analysts, automation testers and a performance tester.

  • Build an automated regression suite in the CI/CD pipeline, documented well enough to hand over to the client.

  • Plan and oversee performance and load testing against defined targets for volume, concurrent users and response time.

  • Test integrations with external systems, notifications and identity services.

  • Run defect management and triage with development and business analysis, and report quality status and risks to project leadership.

  • Prepare and support client UAT, including test data, scenarios and user guidance.

  • Work with the security lead on security testing and remediation checks, and with the migration lead on data migration testing.

About you

  • 7+ years in software testing, with at least 3 years leading QA teams on enterprise web applications.

  • Hands-on test automation (e.g. Selenium, Playwright or Cypress; API testing with Postman or REST Assured).

  • Performance testing experience (e.g. JMeter, Gatling or k6).

  • Experience testing workflow-driven systems with role-based access.

  • Test management with Jira and Xray, Zephyr or similar.

  • Experience running UAT with business users in Agile or hybrid delivery.

  • Projects in financial services, regulated industries or government.

  • Testing cloud-native applications on AWS.

  • Accessibility testing against WCAG.

  • ISTQB Advanced or Test Manager certification.
