Software QA Engineer
Summary
Software QA Engineer in Ipoh who manually and automatically tests e-commerce websites and Android/iOS apps: building test frameworks, designing and executing test plans, preparing test data, and tracking defects. Covers functionality, performance, security, and localization; SQL and development knowledge (PHP, Kotlin, XCode) are pluses.
Responsibilities:
Software testing of e-Commerce, commercial websites, android and ios app.
Prepare and set up a test framework and environment.
Participate in software design reviews and walk-throughs.
Work with the end-user and business analysts to understand functional and design specifications of new features and services.
Work with the development team to develop unit tests, integration tests, system tests, usability tests, security tests, stress tests and regression tests.
Design and execution of test plans.
Prepare test data.
Track and manage software defects using a bug-tracking system.
Quality assurance of the software functionality, performance, security, language translations and localizations.
Able to perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned
Requirements :
Candidates must possess at least a Degree / Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
Knowledge of QA methodologies is essential.
Good understanding of the defect life cycle.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skill
Required language(s): English. Malay, Mandarin is an advantage
Experience with both manual testing and automated testing.
Development knowledge with either PHP, XCode (iOS), Kotlin (Android) is an advantage.
Ability to write and execute SQL queries is an advantage.
Ability to lead junior testers is an advantage.
