Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer to join our team working on safety-critical aerospace and defense software projects. The position will primarily focus on software quality assurance, certification activities, and compliance with DO-178C throughout the software development lifecycle. Candidate will work closely with software development and verification teams to ensure that development and verification activities comply with applicable standards, processes, and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform software quality assurance activities in accordance with DO-178C and project-specific development and quality processes.
• Support and monitor compliance with DO-178C objectives throughout the software lifecycle.
• Support Software Quality Assurance (SQA) activities and provide objective evidence of process compliance.
• Support requirements, design, implementation, verification, configuration management, and change control activities from a certification perspective.
• Participate in audits, reviews, inspections, and certification-related activities.
• Track nonconformities, findings, process deviations, and corrective actions.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of software quality and certification processes.
• Work closely with software engineers and verification engineers to identify and resolve process and compliance issues.
• Ensure appropriate traceability and objective evidence are maintained throughout the software lifecycle.
• Support certification activities related to standards such as DO-178C, DO-330, and DO-331, where applicable.

Qualifications and Required Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Detail-oriented and attentive to quality
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to review technical documentation and assess compliance against defined processes and standards.
• Experience with DO-178C is preferred.
• Familiarity with software verification and validation processes is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with software development and verification teams.
