Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate QA / Senior QA Engineer proficient in both manual and automated testing to join our expanding team in Hong Kong. In this role, you will bridge the gap between development and deployment, ensuring the stability, security, and exceptional user experience of our web and mobile applications. Whether you are an experienced QA leader or a rising junior talent, you will play a critical role in shaping our QA processes and maintaining our high standards of software excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Strategy: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases aligned with diverse business and technical requirements.
Test Execution (Manual & Automation): Execute functional, regression, performance, and API testing across web and mobile platforms (including the use of on-premise device simulators/emulators).
Automation Frameworks: Design, build, and maintain robust automated test scripts and frameworks to optimize testing cycles.
Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and manage software defects to resolution using tools like Jira and ClickUp, collaborating closely with development teams.
CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated testing protocols into Agile/DevOps CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality.
Reporting & Analytics: Analyze test results, generate precise testing outcomes/problem logs, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous optimization of QA standards, methodologies, and best practices within the company.
Job Requirements
Core Qualifications:
Education : Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Experience Levels:
For Junior QA: Minimum of 2 years of professional software testing experience.
For Mid/Senior QA: Minimum of 5 years of professional software testing experience with proven leadership capabilities.
Methodologies : Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes within an Agile/DevOps environment.
Tools & Systems : Hands-on experience with version control (Git) and bug tracking/management systems (Jira, ClickUp).
Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Technical & Domain Knowledge (Preferred)
Programming: Proficiency in Python for test automation script writing.
Architecture: Strong understanding of web-based application architecture, Open APIs, and Microservices.
Data Formats: Familiarity with handling JSON and XML datasets.
Performance Testing: Experience with performance and load testing tools such as Locust or JMeter.
CI/CD Pipelines: Exposure to GitLab Pipeline, TeamCity, or similar DevOps deployment workflows.
Cybersecurity: Basic understanding of cybersecurity measures, particularly pertaining to web page vulnerabilities.
Vendor Experience: Previous experience working in a vendor environment is highly advantageous.
