About the role
As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Manual), you will take ownership of the functional quality of assigned features and releases. Your role will be to make sure that delivered functionality meets business requirements, acceptance criteria, and user expectations.
You will work closely with Development and Product teams, turning requirements into structured test scenarios, identifying defects, validating fixes, and providing clear feedback throughout the development process. You will also help us make our QA practices more consistent, transparent, and effective as the company grows.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working independently, investigating how systems behave, asking questions when something is unclear, and taking responsibility for the quality of their work. You will work primarily with manual testing, while also having the opportunity to contribute to testing non-LLM machine learning models if you have the relevant experience.

What You Will Do
- Own the functional quality of assigned features and releases.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into structured test cases and test scenarios.
- Design, maintain, and execute manual tests using Azure Test Plans or similar tools.
- Identify, document, and track defects in ClickUp, providing clear, reproducible bug reports.
- Validate REST APIs using tools such as Postman or Bruno, including requests, responses, HTTP methods, and status codes.
- Validate data integrity and end-to-end data flows using PostgreSQL/SQL queries.
- Use browser DevTools to investigate issues and support troubleshooting.
- Verify fixes and perform regression testing to ensure changes do not introduce new issues.
- Maintain test plans, test cases, and other QA documentation.
- Work closely with Product and Development teams to clarify requirements, communicate risks, and improve product quality.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing practices, and team ways of working.
- Where applicable, support QA activities related to non-LLM machine learning models, including local inference runs, data validation, output consistency, and awareness of model drift.
What You Bring
Must-have
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.
- Practical knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, preferably with Postman or Bruno.
- Good understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, and request/response structures.
- Practical SQL skills, preferably with PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency with browser DevTools.
- Experience with Azure Test Plans or similar test management tools.
- Strong skills in defect reporting and tracking, with a focus on clarity and reproducibility.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup or similarly dynamic environment.
- Good command of Polish & English, allowing you to communicate across teams and work comfortably with technical documentation.
- A professional, proactive, and independent approach to work.
- A strong commitment to quality and a habit of communicating and reporting issues openly.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing non-LLM machine learning models.
- Hands-on experience running local ML inference.
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Basic knowledge of security testing, e.g. Burp Suite or similar tools.
- Basic scripting skills in Python, C#, or PowerShell.
- Previous experience working with software or technologies related to space, astronomy, or other technically complex domains.
- Remote work model (occasional visits at HQ in Bydgoszcz/Zielonka).
- Compensation: PLN 9,000-14,000 gross/month (UoP), depending on experience and skills.
