Software Quality Engineer
Summary
Designs and maintains automated test suites for a large telecom product, using Java, Selenium, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure software quality in an Agile/SAFe environment.
As a Software Engineering – Quality Engineer (Tester), you will design, implement, and maintain automated test solutions for a large enterprise product in the telecommunications sector. The role is fully remote and involves close collaboration within mixed teams operating in an Agile/SAFe environment, focusing on test automation, framework development, CI/CD integration, and quality monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement automated tests for UI, API and integration layers using Java and Selenium.
Develop and maintain test automation frameworks based on best practices such as Page Object Model, modular structure and reusable code.
Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
Run tests in containerized environments with Docker.
Analyze test results and identify defects, reporting them in Jira with Xray.
Collaborate with development, DevOps and QA teams in Agile/Scrum and SAFe.
Participate in code reviews for automated tests and help define testing strategies.
Monitor overall test quality including stability, flaky tests, coverage and defect leakage.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in test automation with Java and Selenium.
Strong knowledge of Java, Selenium WebDriver and reporting tools such as Allure or Extent Reports.
Experience in building test automation frameworks using Page Object Model and clear separation of test layers.
Practical understanding of Spring / Spring Boot in testing contexts, including application context configuration and dependency injection.
Experience with Git, GitLab CI/CD and Maven.
Familiarity with Xray for test management in Jira.
Solid understanding of Docker for running tests in containers and managing test images.
Experience with end‑to‑end and integration testing.
English proficiency and experience working in an international environment.
