Software Sales Manager (F&B industry)
About Vanguard Beacon
Vanguard Beacon is a Singapore-based SaaS platform that digitalises food safety and hygiene compliance for the food industry. We replace paper checklists, manual temperature logs and scattered records with a simple, AI-assisted system that keeps F&B operators audit-ready, helping them meet SFA requirements and maintain their food safety standards with less effort.

The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Sales Manager who already knows the F&B industry and has sold into it. You will own our revenue growth: opening doors with F&B operators through your existing network, running the full sales cycle, and closing recurring SaaS contracts. This is an early-stage role with high ownership, direct access to the founders and real influence on how we go to market.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute the go-to-market plan for F&B segments such as restaurant groups, central kitchens, caterers, food manufacturers etc.
• Generate pipeline through your own network, referrals, industry associations, events and outbound prospecting.
• Manage the full sales cycle: lead qualification, discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation and close.
• Engage and win over decision-makers such as owners, operations heads, QA/food safety managers and procurement.
• Run product demos and pilots, and work with the team to onboard new customers successfully.
• Build partnerships and channel relationships (e.g. consultants, equipment suppliers, industry associations, POS and F&B service providers).
• Gather market feedback and customer insights to guide product development and messaging.
• Maintain accurate pipeline records in our CRM and report on forecasts, conversion and revenue against targets.
• Represent Vanguard Beacon at trade shows, industry events and customer meetings.
Requirements
• 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with a proven track record selling products or services to F&B companies in Singapore.
• A strong, active network among F&B decision-makers (restaurant groups, food manufacturers, caterers, central kitchens, or food service companies).
• Demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Please be ready to share examples of deals closed.
• Experience selling software, SaaS, or technology/compliance solutions is highly preferred. Candidates who have sold food safety, hygiene, supply chain, POS, or F&B services will be strongly considered.
• Understanding of the Singapore food safety landscape (SFA licensing, HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, SS 583 or similar) is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain value clearly to both business owners and operations teams.
• Self-driven, comfortable in a start-up environment, and able to work without heavy structure.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but proven results matter more.
