Software Support Specialist

Salary: $36 – $40 per hour + On call allowance

Everlink is looking for a Software Support Specialist to join our Tauranga team and provide technical support across our software and connected systems.

Our core platform, Clarity, is Everlink’s own cloud-based fuel management software. It helps customers manage and monitor fuel systems, transactions, users, assets, tank levels, alerts and reporting.

This is a customer-facing role for someone who enjoys working through technical issues, understanding what is happening behind the scenes, and finding the right solution.

The role

You’ll become a key technical member of our Support team, with a particular focus on Clarity and our legacy Everlink software.

You’ll work directly with customers and distributors to troubleshoot software, data, configuration, reporting and integration issues. Where deeper investigation is needed, you’ll work closely with our Software team to provide clear information, progress issues and keep customers informed.

While your main focus will be software, you’ll also contribute to wider Support coverage. This includes helping with incoming support requests during busy periods, stepping in with general support and triage when needed, and participating in the shared after-hours on-call roster for urgent issues.

What you’ll be doing

  • Troubleshoot software, data, configuration and reporting issues to identify the cause and resolve them where possible.

  • Gather clear technical information before escalating more complex issues.

  • Work closely with our Software team to progress bugs and technical investigations.

  • Take ownership of customer issues and keep customers informed through to resolution.

  • Maintain accurate support records and contribute to useful troubleshooting documentation.

  • Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve the support experience.

  • Help with wider Support coverage

  • Participate in the shared after-hours on-call roster.

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have experience supporting software, cloud platforms or other technically complex systems.

What matters most is your ability to think logically, communicate clearly with customers, and take ownership of issues through to resolution.

Experience or working knowledge in some of the following would be useful:

  • SaaS or cloud software support

  • Technical customer support

  • Data and reporting troubleshooting

  • Basic SQL or database knowledge

  • APIs and software integrations

  • Logs, diagnostics or monitoring tools

  • Connected devices, IoT or networking

  • CRM or ticket-management systems

You don’t need to be a software developer. What we’re looking for is someone with strong technical aptitude, experience picking up new systems, and a track record of providing solid technical support. You’ll be curious, logical and keen to build deeper software support capability.

About Everlink

Everlink is a New Zealand-owned technology company based in Tauranga.

We design and manufacture our own connected hardware and develop our own cloud software to help organisations control, monitor and understand fuel and other critical liquids used in their operations.

Our technology is used by customers across New Zealand and international markets, with product development, software, manufacturing and support all working closely together from our Tauranga base.

Everlink is growing, and we’re strengthening our teams and capability to support future scale, improve the customer experience and continue developing our technology.

Why join us?

You’ll join a practical, close-knit team and have the opportunity to build deeper software support capability while gaining exposure to hardware, integrations and connected technology.

Because Clarity is developed in-house, you’ll work directly with the people building the platform and gain deeper technical exposure than you would in many traditional support roles.

You’ll also have the opportunity to make a real impact, help shape how Support develops, and become a key contributor within a growing technology business.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive salary

  • Additional on-call allowance

  • Southern Cross health insurance

  • Birthday leave

  • Supportive close-knit team environment
