Software Technical Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior AIOM (OpenText AI Operations Management, formerly Operations Bridge) Software Technical Consultant to join our implementation team. This role is suited to a candidate early in their career who has a solid technical foundation in IT infrastructure/monitoring concepts and a strong willingness to learn AIOps platform configuration and delivery under the guidance of senior consultants. Exposure to OpenText AIOM or related monitoring/observability tools is an advantage but not mandatory — training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in installing and configuring AIOM components (Operations Agent, Operations Connector, event/metrics collection) under supervision.
• Support requirements-gathering sessions by documenting monitoring scope, node lists, and configuration specifications.
• Perform basic configuration tasks: node/policy onboarding, event correlation rule setup, dashboards, and notification templates.
• Support test execution (SIT/UAT) — validate event flows, alerts, and dashboards; log defects and track resolution.
• Assist with agent deployment across servers/network devices and basic health-check validation.
• Prepare and maintain basic documentation (configuration notes, deployment checklists, user guides).
• Provide first-level troubleshooting support for monitoring/alerting issues post go-live, escalating complex issues to senior consultants.
• Participate in internal knowledge-sharing and on-the-job training on AIOps concepts and OpenText AIOM tools.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or ITE (Higher Nitec) in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Candidates without a formal IT diploma but with strong practical knowledge and/or relevant certification (e.g. CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation) will also be considered.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience — internships, attachments, NOC/monitoring desk, or IT infrastructure support experience are relevant.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure monitoring concepts (events, alerts, metrics, thresholds).
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux OS fundamentals, basic networking (TCP/IP, SNMP), and general troubleshooting.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• A proactive, detail-oriented attitude and willingness to learn new platforms and tools.
• Open to Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents only.

Preferred / Advantageous

• Exposure to OpenText AIOM/Operations Bridge, SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, or similar monitoring/AIOps platforms (coursework, internship, or personal projects count).
• Basic scripting exposure (Shell, Python, or PowerShell) for automation tasks.
• ITIL Foundation certification (or in progress).
• Prior part-time/internship experience in an enterprise or government-related IT environment.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, virtualization) is a strong advantage.

Other Requirements

• Based in Singapore; willing to work on-site at client premises as required during implementation and go-live phases.
• Reports to a Senior Consultant / Project Lead.
