Software Technologist - Clinical Dashboards UI

Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to join the leading innovator in image-guided therapy solutions as a Software Developer for the Azurion Eye Sensing Lab. You will be responsible for developing the user interfaces for all OneSpace-deployed clinical dashboards — delivering intuitive, high-performance front-end experiences that surface AI-driven insights and analytics to clinical users in the interventional lab.

You will be part of the Image Guided Therapy Systems (IGTS) business unit with development sites in the Netherlands, China and India. You will join the Data Analytics team within the Sensing Lab global R&D department, working closely with design (IENS), backend, and data engineering teams.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop responsive, performant, and accessible user interfaces for OneSpace-hosted clinical dashboards using React.

  • Implement UI components that consume REST APIs from backend microservices, visualizing AI model outputs and data analytics results.

  • Collaborate with the design team to translate UX designs and wireframes into pixel-perfect, production-ready UI components.

  • Integrate dashboard UIs into the OneSpace plugin framework; adhere to OneSpace UI architecture and design system standards.

  • Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable front-end code; participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards.

  • Implement automated UI tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines for safe and frequent deployments.

  • Optimize dashboard performance: load times, rendering efficiency, and real-time data update handling.

  • Collaborate with backend and data engineering teams to define API contracts that best serve UI needs.

  • Support QA and automation teams in debugging and resolving UI-related defects.

  • Contribute to technical documentation for UI components, integration patterns, and deployment procedures.

To Succeed in This Role, You Should Have the Following Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 4–8 years of experience in front-end or full-stack software development.

  • Must Have:

  • UI Development — proficiency in modern front-end development practices

  • React — component-based UI development, state management, hooks

  • Nice to Have:

  • Python — for scripting, tooling, or light backend work

  • Experience with plugin-based or embedded web application frameworks

  • Familiarity with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Recharts, Chart.js)

  • Experience integrating UIs with REST APIs and real-time data streams (WebSockets).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and front-end testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, or equivalent).

  • Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Experience working within design systems and UI component libraries.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with UX designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders.

  • Experience in a regulated software environment (medical device preferred) is a plus.

  • Proficiency in leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding and testing.
