Software Test Engineer (Automation + Manual)

Role & responsibilities

This is a full-time, on-site Software Test Engineer (Automation + Manual) role based in Nagpur. The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing manual and automated test cases for web and backend components of the QuickAppFlow platform. Daily tasks include analyzing requirements, preparing detailed test plans, performing functional, regression, integration, and system testing, and documenting clear, reproducible defects. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and DevOps engineers to ensure high-quality releases, maintain test environments, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks and tools. The engineer will also participate in sprint ceremonies, provide test effort estimates, and ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.

Required Skills:

* Strong foundation in Software Testing, including both manual and automated testing practices.

* Hands-on experience with Test Cases and Test Execution, including test planning, prioritization, and reporting.

* Understanding of Software Development concepts, SDLC, and agile methodologies to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.

* Knowledge of Testing techniques such as functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing.

* Proficiency with at least one test automation framework or tool (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG) and scripting in languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.

* Ability to write clear test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports, with strong attention to detail.

* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

* Experience testing SaaS or cloud-based platforms is a plus; familiarity with APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines is highly beneficial.
