Software Test Engineer

• 5+ years of experience in writing test plans, test matrix, test report, etc.
• Understanding of test engineering systems, processes and automation working across multiple company product lines
• Work with QA Engineers and Developers to design, develop and maintain product architecture and design hardware[1]to-software integration, embedded software components integration with existing and new product families of Bluetooth and Wireless.
• Responsible to design and develop end to end robust automation framework for Mobile and Devices to incorporate:
  • Cross platform (Arm and x86) compatibility
  • Pull detailed logs from connected devices in real time
  • Parallel test execution
  • Firmware upgrade prior to test execution
• Integrate with Continuous Integration tool – Jenkins
  • Analyze the needs of stakeholders and setting up new development tools and infrastructures.
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
  • Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results for various Platforms.
  • Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that the development follows established processes and works as intended.
• Experience with Automate test scripts using Python, Groovy, Appium, XCode, API & integration with Jira and Test-Link/ TestRail
• Unit Testing Skills

• Experience working with offshore team

• BS in Computer Science or MS in Computer Science
• Strong understanding of Bluetooth, BLE, understanding of WiFi (802.11a/b/g/n)
• Ability to propose new ideas on how to improve customer satisfaction and quality of product
• Ability to carefully examine requirements and specifications to anticipate quality issues and provide timely feedback
• when specifications are incomplete or inaccurate
• Tools: Testrail, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Pytest.
• Experience testing Firmware is plus
