Software Test Engineer
Summary
Software Test Engineer at Motorola Solutions in Bayan Lepas, Penang, performing end-to-end manual and automated testing of NPI programs at device and system level. Day to day involves designing test cases from requirements and building Python/script automation to boost coverage, plus root-cause and false-failure analysis.
Key responsibilities
Perform End to End Test on NPI program at device as well as system level.
Design, develop and test the software to ensure SW requirement compliance.
Analyze the test requirements to create effective and optimal test coverage.
Translate requirements and specifications into manual/automated test cases.
Develop Python & scripts automation to increase coverage and execution speed.
Work with the business and development team to formulate test strategy.
Perform first level of root-cause analysis of problems to formulate and recommend improved alternative operations.
Perform false failure analysis, troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing automation test setups.
About you
2 - 7 years of experience in Software Development / Testing.
Bachelor Degree in Information Science / Communication Engineering / Software engineering.
Knowledge in Python, JavaScript, Angular, C, C# or other languages used for scripting.
Works under general supervision, self-motivated and able to integrate well into a cross-functional team.
Good English communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer focused and result oriented.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with an attention to detail and understanding of customer impact.
Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
