Software Test Engineer (Playwright with Typescript or Javascript)
Salary: RM 7,000 – RM 10,000 per month
About the role
We are seeking a Software Test Engineer with hands-on experience in Playwright and TypeScript to develop, execute, and maintain automated test solutions for web-based applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product owners, and QA team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality software through effective test automation and quality assurance practices.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
Create and execute test cases for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Build and maintain automated test frameworks and reusable testing components.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Analyze test results and provide detailed reporting on quality metrics.
Perform API testing and validate backend services where required.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 2-5 years of experience in Software Testing/QA Automation.
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
Experience in automated web application testing.
Good understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
