The Qualifications We Seek

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Economics; an advanced degree is an advantage
• At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, preferably with B2B, large-scale, data-intensive software systems
• Strong understanding of statistical calculations, business intelligence, data analysis, and data visualization concepts
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and the software development lifecycle
• Experience with UI/UX testing and validation across different browsers and platforms
• Proficiency in creating detailed test cases and defect documentation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to quickly learn new topics, industry terminology, analytical solutions, and business workflows
• Resourcefulness and ability to identify effective solutions to various challenges
• Ability to produce high-quality work with minimal detailed instructions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting findings to cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience collaborating with software engineering and product support teams
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to document analyses and manage multiple projects
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently and manage ambiguity
• Proficiency in testing web-based applications and user interfaces
• Experience with data validation and verification techniques
• Understanding of API and integration testing
• Basic scripting knowledge for test automation preferred

Your Daily Tasks

Testing & Validation

• Conduct daily quality assurance and quality control tests by reviewing software requirements and verifying that features function as intended
• Test and validate UI functionality, including grid and chart operations, data filtering, aggregation, navigation, dropdown interdependencies, and reports
• Verify statistical calculations, including minimum, average, maximum, weighted averages, and time-based aggregations such as Daily by Hour and Monthly by Year
• Perform comprehensive UI migration tests to ensure the new interface matches legacy UI functionality and new features meet specifications
• Execute regression tests to ensure existing functionality remains intact after updates or new feature implementations

Issue Management & Collaboration

• Identify and document software issues, including crashes, missing error messages, and data inconsistencies, with detailed reproduction steps
• Collaborate with engineering teams to reproduce and diagnose technical problems and provide clear, actionable feedback
• Track and prioritize defects through bug-tracking systems and verify timely resolution
• Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings to align test efforts with development cycles

Documentation & Process Improvement

• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test documentation
• Develop and update QA procedures and best practices to improve test efficiency
• Generate quality metrics and reports to track test progress and product quality trends
