Manual Tester / IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation & Qualification) Engineer
Travel Requirement
This role requires travel to Europe once every two months (approximately two weeks per trip), supporting on-site integration, testing and customer acceptance activities. Please apply only if you are open to this travel commitment.
Role Overview
This role focuses on Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification (IVVQ) activities for mission-critical defence systems. You will be responsible for validating system behaviour, executing manual integration and acceptance testing, identifying and troubleshooting defects, and ensuring systems meet operational and customer requirements.
The role is primarily hands-on manual testing, system validation and integration, working closely with software, infrastructure and system engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
1. System Integration & Validation
Execute Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification (IVVQ) activities for defence-grade systems.
Prepare and maintain test plans, test procedures, test cases and validation documentation.
Perform functional, integration, system, regression and acceptance testing.
Validate end-to-end business workflows across software applications, middleware, databases and infrastructure.
Perform API validation using Postman, SoapUI or similar tools.
Validate message flows across middleware and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Identify, reproduce and document defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and operational readiness activities.
Execute test evidence collection and produce validation reports for customer acceptance.
Participate in defect triage, verification of fixes and regression testing.
Collaborate with software developers, system engineers and infrastructure teams to resolve integration issues.
2. Environment & Release Validation
Support deployment and configuration of test environments.
Execute release validation and smoke testing for new software builds.
Monitor application logs and system behaviour during testing activities.
Assist in environment verification and operational readiness testing.
Work within CI/CD release processes to validate application quality before deployment.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Experience (3–8 years preferred)
Manual testing experience in enterprise or mission-critical systems.
Integration Testing (SIT), System Testing (ST), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) or IVVQ experience.
Defect investigation, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Test case design, execution and documentation.
Experience working across integrated or distributed systems.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and defect lifecycle.
API testing using Postman, SoapUI or equivalent tools.
SQL for database validation and data verification.
Linux command-line basics for log analysis and troubleshooting.
Experience with Jira, Confluence and test management tools.
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes or CI/CD environments is advantageous.
Nice to Have
Experience in defence, aerospace, transportation or other safety-critical industries.
Exposure to message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Knowledge of network troubleshooting.
Experience supporting FAT, SAT or operational acceptance testing.
