SOFTWARE TESTING ANALYST (Manual tester)

Summary

We are looking for a Manual Tester to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of software applications. The candidate will be responsible for understanding requirements, preparing test cases, executing manual tests, identifying defects, and working closely with development and business teams to deliver high-quality applications.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business and technical requirements and identify testing scenarios.
• Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Perform end-to-end testing across different application modules.
• Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, and project teams to resolve defects.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide testing-related inputs.
• Perform smoke and sanity testing for new builds/releases.
• Validate fixes and ensure defects are successfully resolved.
• Maintain testing documentation and provide regular status updates.
• Support production validation and post-release testing when required.

Required Skills:

• 2–7 years of experience in Manual Testing / Software Testing.
• Track project milestones, risks, and issues; escalate and follow up on mitigation plans
• Prepare status reports, dashboards, and stakeholder presentations
• Manage and track user stories, tasks, and progress using JIRA
• Monitor timeline deviations and work with teams to resolve blockers
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Hands-on experience in functional and regression testing.
• Good knowledge of defect life cycle and test case management.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or similar.
• Basic understanding of SQL/database testing is preferred.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
