Solution Architect

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Solution Architect to join a technology environment focused on modernising enterprise platforms, data capabilities and digital services.

This is a permanent Wellington-based opportunity offering the chance to influence technology direction across infrastructure, networking, cloud, applications and modern data platforms. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and delivery partners to design practical, scalable solutions that support strategic business outcomes.

This role will suit someone who enjoys solving complex technology challenges, working across multiple architecture domains, and staying close to delivery. You'll be part of an environment investing in modern Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Fabric, while helping shape future technology and AI capabilities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing end-to-end technology solutions across infrastructure, networking, cloud, applications and data platforms.
• Developing solution options, architecture designs and technical recommendations.
• Working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technology solutions.
• Providing architecture leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle, from concept through to implementation.
• Assessing technical risks, dependencies and architectural trade-offs.
• Collaborating with delivery teams, vendors and technical specialists to ensure successful outcomes.
• Supporting the adoption of modern Microsoft technologies and evolving data capabilities.
• Contributing to architecture standards, roadmaps and future technology direction.

What You'll Bring

• Proven Solution Architecture experience within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking and cloud technologies.
• Experience designing application, integration and data solutions.
• Exposure to Microsoft technologies, particularly Azure, with Microsoft Fabric highly regarded.
• The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience working across multiple technology domains and balancing competing priorities.
• A pragmatic approach to delivering business-focused technology outcomes.
• New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency, current residence in New Zealand, and the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
