Solution Architect (Data Center)

Assignment Description

We are seeking a senior Solution Architect for a strategic initiative focused on the establishment and development of large-scale AI-driven data center solutions across the Nordic region. The assignment involves the design and architecture of next-generation AI infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on high-performance computing (HPC/AI) environments, GPU platforms, and modern data center architecture.

The consultant will play a key role in defining, designing, and validating the technical solution for AI factories being developed to support advanced AI and machine learning workloads. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technology partners, and infrastructure specialists to ensure a scalable, secure, and future-proof architecture.

• Allocation: Full-time (100%)

• Start Date: Immediate start or as agreed

• Engagement: Likely through the end of the year, with potential for extension

• Location: Nordic region

• Timezone Preference: The consultant should be located within, or close to, the Nordic/European time zone to enable close collaboration with key project stakeholders and teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and define the overall solution architecture for AI- and GPU-based data centers.

• Develop architecture frameworks for high-performance computing (HPC) environments and AI platforms.

• Ensure solutions adhere to best practices for scalability, performance, reliability, and availability.

• Evaluate and recommend hardware and infrastructure solutions from leading technology vendors.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and operations teams on solution design and implementation.

• Contribute to technical roadmaps and strategic architecture decisions.

• Support procurement, validation, and integration of relevant technologies and platforms.

• Act as a technical advisor to executive stakeholders and external partners.

Required Qualifications

Must-Have

• Several years of experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar senior architecture role.

• Proven experience designing and implementing data center infrastructure.

• Deep expertise in AI infrastructure, GPU platforms, and HPC environments.

• Hands-on experience with NVIDIA-based solutions and reference architectures, including NVIDIA AI Enterprise and NVIDIA Blueprint frameworks.

• Strong understanding of core data center components, including compute, storage, networking, and security.

• Experience working with solutions from vendors such as NVIDIA, Dell Technologies, HPE, or similar.

• Experience operating within complex technology environments involving multiple stakeholders.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience establishing or expanding large-scale data center environments.

• Experience from AI Factory, HPC, or supercomputing initiatives.

• Knowledge of liquid cooling technologies, power infrastructure, and modern data center design principles.

• Experience with hybrid or cloud-integrated AI platforms.

• Previous experience working in fast-growing, entrepreneurial, or start-up environments.
