Solution Architect / Data Modeler - Snowplow, Segment, or mParticle
Summary
Design and build event-driven analytics pipelines using Snowplow, Segment, or mParticle to replace legacy tools, then orchestrate Bronze/Silver/Gold data flows in Snowflake/Databricks for media analytics.
Before submission, I strongly recommend validating with candidates:
- Have they worked with clickstream/event-tracking platforms?
- Have they built Bronze/Silver/Gold pipelines from event data?
- Have they replaced legacy analytics tools with in-house platforms?
- Any media, publishing, customer engagement, or audience analytics experience?
- Experience coordinating with UI/dashboard teams?
Check with the candidates if they have worked with Snowplow, Segment, mParticle, Adobe Analytics event collection, Google Analytics event instrumentation, or a similar clickstream/event-tracking platform?
Required Skills & Experience:
Overall 12+years with 8+ years in data/solution architecture roles, including at least 3+ years in cloud data warehouse-based medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
Hands-on experience with event-driven data collection platforms such as Snowplow, Segment, or mParticle as a source system.
Strong dbt and workflow orchestration experience (e.g., Airflow); familiarity with managed orchestration bridges (e.g., Astronomer Cosmos) is a plus.
Experience architecting real-time or near-real-time analytics pipelines for high-concurrency, low-latency use cases (media/publishing/editorial analytics experience strongly preferred).
Experience with data migration/parity validation projects—legacy vendor analytics tool to modern in-house replacement.
Working knowledge of front-end/full-stack architecture sufficient to coordinate with a UI-build team (role does not require hands-on front-end development).
Experience operating in T&M, staff-augmentation delivery models with a client-owned PMO.
Strong client-facing communication skills; comfortable representing technical positions directly to enterprise client stakeholders.
Experience managing or technically directing offshore delivery teams.
Familiarity with SSO/Okta-based role access models and enterprise data governance frameworks.
