Solution Architect & Development Team Lead — React / Node.js / SaaS Architecture

Posted
Discussion

Summary

Hands-on solution architect who also leads a small dev team (a senior and a junior developer), designing end-to-end architecture for websites, SaaS-style products, and backend systems while still writing and reviewing React and Node.js production code. Remote role with modern tooling: Sanity, Vercel, Supabase, Cursor, GitHub.

We're hiring a Solution Architect who will also act as our development team's lead — someone who proposes real technical solutions and then stays hands-on to help build them. This is not a role for someone who wants to hand off a diagram and walk away. You'll lead a small team (a Senior Software Engineer and a Junior Developer), make the architecture calls, and still be writing and reviewing code yourself.

We want someone who thinks in terms of solutions delivered, not hours logged — who's willing to go the extra mile when a project needs it, and who's spent real time at a well-known Pakistani software house doing both hands-on development and solution architecture work.

  • Propose end-to-end solution architecture for new projects and features across our portfolio — websites, SaaS-style solutions, and backend systems (including data-heavy builds like our Parts Blue vendor-catalog backend)
  • Stay hands-on as lead developer — writing and reviewing production code in React and Node.js, not just producing architecture diagrams
  • Lead and mentor a small development team, setting the technical direction and quality bar for their work
  • Make the call on stack, tooling, and system design trade-offs, and stand behind those decisions
  • Partner directly with our Technical Project Manager to scope, estimate, and sequence work across multiple concurrent projects
  • Own code review standards and the overall technical quality/reliability bar for the team's output
  • Take ownership of problems beyond your immediate ticket when that's what it takes to actually ship
  • 7+ years of software development experience (10+ years ideal), including meaningful time in a Solution Architect or technical leadership capacity — not purely an individual-contributor track
  • That experience should include time at a known, well-regarded Pakistani software house
  • Continued, active hands-on development — you should still want to be in the code, not just reviewing it from a distance
  • Strong, demonstrable React and Node.js expertise
  • Real experience architecting SaaS-style, multi-tenant, or multi-client web solutions
  • Comfort owning both frontend and backend architecture decisions
  • Familiarity with modern tooling — Sanity, Vercel, Supabase, Cursor, GitHub (openness to newer AI-assisted tools like Lovable is a plus)
  • A track record of leading or mentoring developers
  • An outcomes-first mindset — you measure success by what got delivered, not hours logged
  • Strong communication skills, including with non-technical stakeholders

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.

  • Remote working opportunity
  • Opportunity to work across multiple products and projects.
  • Exposure to modern technologies and AI-assisted development tools.
  • Opportunity to work closely with technical and project leadership.
