Solution Architect — Financial Services

Solution Architect — Financial Services

Sydney CBD | Hybrid | Full-time | Permanent

A well-established Australian Financial Services group is hiring a Solution Architect to shape a new finance and wealth platform.

This is a business-facing architecture role. You'll spend as much time influencing senior stakeholders as you will designing systems. The transformation is funded and moving, built to set the pace in advice technology — not follow it. They need someone who wins the room as easily as they win the whiteboard.

What you'll be doing:
  • Partnering directly with senior business leaders — turning ambiguous business problems into clear technology direction, and technology decisions into commercial sense
  • Driving innovation across the advice ecosystem — fresh thinking on AI, platform modernisation, and reshaping the advice experience for customers and advisers
  • Owning solution architecture end-to-end, from strategy through to delivery
  • Influencing design, platform, and vendor decisions at executive level — shaping the roadmap, not just responding to it
  • Leading options analysis and business cases that keep the organisation ahead of the market
  • Connecting applications, data, infrastructure, security, and customer experience into architecture that actually ships
What you'll bring:
  • Strong solution/enterprise architecture experience across large-scale transformation, with a genuine track record working business-side
  • The influence to hold your own in a room without direct authority — and bring people to your view
  • A real innovation mindset, especially around AI and its practical application
  • A bias toward execution — architecture that ships, not architecture that lives in decks
  • Wealth management, financial services, or advice experience is a strong plus
  • The ability to make complex ideas simple, and simple ideas compelling
