What you'll be doing

As a Solutions Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming business requirements into innovative, integrated technology solutions.

You'll:

• Lead the design of end-to-end solution architectures across applications, integrations, data, security, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, technical specialists, and vendors to define solution requirements and architecture outcomes.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and implementation-ready designs that balance strategic direction with practical delivery needs.
• Facilitate architecture discussions, guide key design decisions, and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Produce and maintain high-quality architecture artefacts, documentation, standards, and design recommendations.
• Support technology investment planning, business case development, and architecture governance processes.
• Identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and ensure solutions align with organisational standards, policies, and objectives.
• Contribute to enterprise architecture initiatives and help shape GMHBA's future technology landscape.

What you'll bring

We're looking for a strategic thinker who combines technical depth with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.

Essential experience

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, including the development of architecture frameworks, reusable artefacts, and architectural governance practices.
• 5+ years' experience operating at a Senior Solutions Architect level.
• Strong experience across all architecture domains including: Applications and Integration, Data and Information, Technology and Infrastructure and Business and Capability Models
• Demonstrated success delivering pragmatic solutions while supporting long-term strategic goals.
• Outstanding communication, consulting, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills across both business and technology audiences.

Highly desirable

• Experience delivering architecture outcomes across application, data, security, and infrastructure domains.
• Enterprise Architecture experience and a strong understanding of the relationship between enterprise strategy, programs, projects, and solutions.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
• Certifications or practical experience in: TOGAF, ArchiMate, Zachman and AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Ability to challenge conventional thinking, separate technology hype from genuine business value, and influence strategic outcomes.
• Project delivery, planning, and organisational skills.
• Proven ability to build consensus and drive decisions among multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with architecture tools like ABACUS, Orbus or Sparx.
