Solution Architect Digital | Vacancy Brussels

Millions of customer interactions start through Luminus' digital channels. As a Digital Solution Architect, you will help shape the architecture behind our MyLuminus application, our public websites and other digital products used by both customers and sales teams.

You translate business needs into scalable, future-proof solutions and provide architectural direction across a broad digital ecosystem. Working closely with business stakeholders, development teams, suppliers and enterprise architects, you help ensure that today's technology choices support tomorrow's ambitions.

This is not a pure Enterprise Architecture role and not a development role either. You stay close to the technology, challenge solution designs and guide technical decision-making, while development remains with the delivery teams.

What you’ll do

• Define solution architectures that translate business needs into scalable and future-proof digital solutions, while ensuring long-term maintainability.

• Together with business stakeholders, developers and suppliers, you help select and challenge technology solutions that best fit our digital landscape.

• You assess the impact of new initiatives and architectural changes across MyLuminus, public websites, sales partner tools and other digital channels.

• You drive architectural consistency across a modern ecosystem built on MACH principles, microservices and APIs.

• Provide technical leadership to development teams by validating solution designs, explaining architectural choices and promoting best practices.

• Represent Digital Architecture at the Architecture Board, where you build consensus around key decisions and ensure alignment with the broader enterprise architecture vision.

What you bring

• A bachelor's or master's degree in IT, engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect in a digital environment, with the ability to independently own architectural decisions.

• Experience designing solutions based on MACH principles, including microservices, API-first architectures, cloud-native platforms and headless concepts.

• Strong communication skills that enable you to explain complex technical concepts to both business and technical stakeholders.

• A solid understanding of modern application architectures and technologies such as React, React Native, NextJS, NestJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, cloud platforms (Azure is a plus) and DevOps practices.

• You don't need to be a day-to-day developer, but you are comfortable challenging technical decisions and engaging credibly with engineering teams and suppliers.

• Experience working in Agile environments; familiarity with SAFe is a plus.
