Solution Architect (Onsite - Fredericton)
We are seeking a Solution Architect to support a digital health initiative focused on expanding and integrating drug information and pharmacy systems within a healthcare ecosystem. The successful candidate will work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to develop comprehensive architecture deliverables, provide strategic guidance on solution design, and ensure all initiatives align with organizational architectural goals, principles, and standards. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery by enabling clinicians and patients to access standardized, up-to-date health information through integrated digital solutions.
The Solution Architect will be responsible for developing technical requirements, integration architecture, messaging specifications, and vendor implementation guides for drug information systems and related digital health initiatives. Key responsibilities include leading technical design and requirements gathering sessions, reviewing existing systems and healthcare integration solutions, supporting project and operational teams with solution strategy, participating in stage gate reviews, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors, and ensuring solutions comply with organizational standards. The candidate will also mentor technical teams, support the planning and implementation of integration solutions, and contribute to the evolution of architecture deliverables throughout all phases of solution acquisition, planning, design, development, and implementation.

Qualifications
- 15 years of IM/IT experience
- 10 years of demonstrated experience as a lead Solution Architect on medium to large system development, COTS implementation, or healthcare integration projects (obtained within the last 15 years). Medium to large complex projects are those that cross multiple business units and/or organizations, involve multiple direct project participants (more than 8), operate for an extended period (more than 9 months), and involve dealing with business transformation issues as well as technical issues
- 5+ years of demonstrated capability managing or leading a team of specialists, technical analysts, or programmers on information technology development projects, including employees and contracted resources
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience leading technical design and technical requirements gathering sessions and reviewing existing systems, technology, and healthcare integration solutions, and performing technical and solution due diligence
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in the development of architecture deliverables including technical requirements, integration architecture, messaging specifications, vendor implementation guides, technical/solution standards, and technical/solution guiding principles
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience standing up and delivering enterprise solutions and services, providing experience on maintainability and long-term lifecycles that extend beyond initial implementation
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in system implementation or integration with Drug Information Systems
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in transformational projects acting as an architect with proven capabilities mentoring technical teams
- 3+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience as an architect in the eHealth space
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience working with eHealth Standards Based Messaging, including HL7 V2, V3, and FHIR
- Strong proficiency in communication skills, both written and oral, in English
- University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
