Solution Architect

Robert Half have partnered with a market leading consultancy looking to recruit for a Credit Risk focused Solutions Architect on an initial 12 month contract.

This position will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical delivery, translating complex challenges into robust, scalable solution designs. You will provide architectural leadership across cloud, application, integration, data, and infrastructure domains, ensuring solutions are secure, auditable, and aligned with best practice.

Working closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, and security specialists, you will help shape innovative products, accelerators, and frameworks that support both client delivery and long-term business growth.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable solution architectures.
• Produce architecture artefacts including HLDs, LLDs, data flows, sequence diagrams, and integration designs.
• Design logical and physical architectures across applications, integrations, cloud, and data platforms.
• Evaluate build-versus-buy options and assess emerging technologies and cloud services.
• Support project mobilisation, establishing tooling, environments, delivery standards, and engineering best practices.
• Provide architectural guidance throughout the full delivery lifecycle.
• Review technical designs, code, and configurations to ensure alignment with approved architecture.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks early in projects.
• Drive governance, architectural standards, and documentation quality.
• Ensure solutions comply with security and regulatory requirements, including ISO 27001 principles.
• Partner with internal teams to shape new product ideas, frameworks, accelerators, and reusable solutions.
• Embed scalability, security, performance, and maintainability into solution design.
• Contribute to product roadmaps and long-term technology strategy.
• Support the development of AI-enabled and data-driven offerings.
• Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to drive best practices across modern data platforms.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide technical leadership.
• Support presales activities, discovery workshops, proposals, and RFP responses.
• Act as a trusted advisor on solution design and technology strategy.

Requirements:

• Expereince working within Credit Risk and Finical Services
• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar architecture-focused role.
• Strong expertise across application, data, integration, and infrastructure architecture.
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with modern delivery practices including APIs, microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience producing architecture documentation including HLDs, LLDs, security models, and data flows.
• Understanding of enterprise security principles, governance frameworks, and identity management.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical problem solving.

• Competitive Day Rate
• Hybrid Working | 2-3 days per week in London
