Solution Architect/Technical Lead

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect / Technical Lead to own the solution architecture and technical direction of digital platforms, with a strong focus on headless CMS architecture and modern web technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using Directus CMS or Optical CMS, alongside strong expertise in Next.js, Node.js, API/integration architecture, and AWS/cloud technologies. This role will provide technical leadership across architecture design, development standards, technical reviews, and solution delivery, working closely with engineering teams and key stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the overall solution architecture and technical direction for digital platforms and applications.
• Design and implement headless CMS architectures using Directus CMS or Optical CMS.
• Lead the architecture and technical design of web applications using Next.js and Node.js.
• Define scalable and maintainable API and integration architectures across internal and external systems.
• Design cloud-based solutions and infrastructure using AWS and related cloud technologies.
• Establish and enforce technical standards, architecture principles, and development best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to software engineers and development teams.
• Conduct architecture and technical design reviews to ensure quality, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, developers, infrastructure teams, and security teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and architectural challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, availability, scalability, and reliability requirements.
• Drive performance optimization and continuous improvement of existing applications and platforms.
• Support technical decision-making, technology evaluation, and selection of appropriate frameworks, platforms, and tools.
• Provide technical oversight throughout the software development lifecycle, from design through implementation and deployment.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 8–12+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, technical leadership, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, or similar senior technical role.
• Mandatory: Hands-on experience with either Optical CMS or Directus CMS platform.
• Strong experience designing and implementing headless CMS solutions and architectures.
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js and Node.js.
• Strong understanding of API design, REST APIs, microservices, and system integration.
• Experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS or other major cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, scalability, availability, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of application and cloud security principles and best practices.
• Proven experience conducting architecture reviews, technical design reviews, and code/solution reviews.
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring senior engineers and development teams.
• Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies, CI/CD, DevOps, and automated deployment practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on large-scale digital platforms or enterprise applications.
• Experience with TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with containerization and cloud-native technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Relevant cloud or architecture certifications are an advantage.
