Solution Consultant (SG)

Salary: $6,000 – $9,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

1. Presales Technical Support: Engage with customers to understand their requirements and provide presales support, including technical discussions, solution design, configuration clarification, and quotation preparation. Design customized solutions based on customers’ network connectivity requirements;

2. Customized Solution Design: Develop end-to-end technical solutions for complex global networking requirements of multinational corporations (MNCs), integrating products and services such as IPLC, IEPL, MPLS VPN, and SD-WAN;

3. Technical Documentation: Prepare technical solutions, proposals, presentations, and responses to customer inquiries. Work closely with Account Managers to conduct technical discussions and deliver solution presentations to customers;

4. Tender and Commercial Support: Participate in tender activities and prepare responses to RFIs (Requests for Information) and RFPs (Requests for Proposal). Demonstrate strong cost awareness and knowledge of budget management, with the ability to estimate and control project costs;

5. Internal Resource Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, including Network Operations/PE, Project Management/Delivery (PM), and Pricing teams. Perform resource feasibility checks, input routing solutions, and consolidate quotation information in the BSS system to ensure proposed solutions are technically and commercially feasible;

6. Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends and technological developments, gather market intelligence, and analyze competitors’ product strategies and pricing models to provide data-driven insights supporting sales strategies;

7. Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the presales and post-sales stages and provide necessary technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and service continuity;

8. Traditional Telecom Product Portfolio: Provide technical support across traditional telecom products and services, including IPLC, IEPL, MPLS IP VPN, SD-WAN, Internet access/transit services, transmission networks (SDH/DWDM/OTN), basic data center (IDC) network connectivity, enterprise leased lines, and voice services.

Qualifications

1. Work Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry;

2. Technical Knowledge – ICT & Networking: Strong knowledge of SDH, DWDM, OTN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS, and related technologies. Familiarity with dedicated connectivity products such as IPLC, IEPL, MPLS VPN, and SD-WAN. Basic knowledge of submarine cable systems and international transmission routes, as well as familiarity with data center environments and network interconnection solutions;

3. Professional Certifications: Professional certifications such as CCNP, HCIE, CISSP, or equivalent are preferred;

4. Core Competencies: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to evolving technologies and business requirements;

5. Teamwork and Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and maintain strong working relationships across teams;

6. Language Proficiency: Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese because the candidate needs to liaise with both English and Chinese speaking stakeholders.
