Summary
Applied Intuition is hiring a Solution Engineer in Tokyo to lead technical engagements with automotive OEMs and suppliers on SDV and AD/ADAS architecture — assessing customer needs, building demos and validation environments, and owning Vehicle OS delivery. Requires hands-on automotive software/E/E architecture experience plus native Japanese and business English.
You will advise OEMs and suppliers on SDV and AD/ADAS architecture and development processes. You will assess customer needs, define platform use, organize requirements, make technical decisions, support demonstrations and vehicle build-ups, lead Vehicle OS delivery, feed field issues into the roadmap, and travel to customer sites as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical work with OEMs and suppliers on SDV and AD/ADAS architecture and software-driven development
- Assess customer needs and determine how to use the platform
- Organize customer requirements and make technical decisions with product and engineering counterparts
- Set up software and tools for demonstrations and proof-of-concepts
- Build validation environments and support vehicle build-ups
- Own Vehicle OS projects across technical delivery and customer-facing responsibilities
- Bring field technical issues into the product roadmap
- Travel to customer sites in Japan and abroad as needed
Requirements
- System-level understanding and practical experience in SDV, AD/ADAS, vehicle software, or E/E architecture
- Experience reaching agreement with customer or partner engineers on complex technical topics
- Experience working at or with automotive OEMs or suppliers
- Experience making technical decisions and moving projects forward
- Native-level Japanese for technical negotiations and documentation
- Business-level English for technical discussions and daily written communication
