Hybrid work with ~25% travel.

As a Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical and consultative sales support to design tailored solutions for Fortified’s existing clients and prospects, including healthcare providers, hospitals, and Health Tech organizations. This role requires a strong technical cybersecurity foundation combined with the ability to support strategic, advisory, and risk-focused conversations with clients and prospects.
Essential Job Functions

- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements, business objectives, and technical challenges within their environments
- Utilize cybersecurity expertise and prior experience to support discovery and scoping calls, validate client responses, and identify technical requirements across diverse environments
- Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to communicate solution capabilities and value, both virtually and onsite as needed
- Develop comprehensive solution offerings that address client needs while aligning with Fortified’s services and capabilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical guidance and cybersecurity best practices
- Lead proof-of-value (POV) deployments for managed security offerings, including SIEM, MDR, XDR, and IoMT
- Support Advisory opportunities by reviewing Risk Assessment findings, discussing remediation priorities, and helping clients understand opportunities to mature their cybersecurity programs
- Lead conversations related to cybersecurity, risk management, frameworks, and security program maturity
- Support sales through technical scoping discussions and provide inputs used for solution design and pricing
- Stay current on industry trends, regulations, frameworks, and emerging technologies relevant to healthcare cybersecurity
Knowledge & Skills
Education & Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity operations, engineering, consulting, technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with clients and prospects ranging from technical practitioners to executive leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, cybersecurity, or a related field preferred
- An equivalent combination of education, certifications, and professional experience may be considered
- Experience working with or for an MSSP, MDR provider, cybersecurity consulting organization, or security technology vendor is a plus
- Experience building and implementing Cybersecurity programs for healthcare systems, hospitals, or Health Tech organizations is strongly preferred
Special Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, standards, frameworks, and technologies relevant to healthcare environments, including familiarity with HIPAA, NIST, and HITRUST
- Hands-on experience deploying, architecting, managing, or evaluating security technologies such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, network security, identity, cloud security, and IoMT/OT technologies
- Experience conducting or supporting cybersecurity Risk Assessments, technical assessments, remediation planning, or security consulting engagements
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and security program maturity concepts
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and deployment of virtual infrastructure
- Strong understanding of networking, cloud technologies, identity, and IT security concepts
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts, recommendations, and business value to diverse audiences
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, Security+, or comparable certifications are beneficial
- Experience supporting technical evaluations, procurement processes, demonstrations, POCs, or POVs
- Familiarity with SOC operations and security monitoring technologies
- Self-driven and comfortable taking ownership in fast-moving or ambiguous situations
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and continued professional development
