Solutions Architect - HRIS

Summary

Experienced Solutions Architect providing end-to-end solution architecture and technical leadership for a major HR system upgrade and strategic change program, focusing on HRIS, Payroll, and Workforce Management solutions with emphasis on enterprise architecture, system integration, and compliance.

MuraConnect is partnering with a Queensland-based organisation to identify an experienced Solution Architect (HRIS) to support a major HR system upgrade and strategic change program.

This role will provide end-to-end solution architecture and technical leadership across a complex program of work focused on legislative compliance, process improvement and modernisation. You will work closely with project managers, business analysts, technical teams, domain architects and external vendors to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, integrated and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

The role will have a particular focus on HR, Payroll and Workforce Management (WFM) solutions, providing technical oversight from initial design and architecture through implementation, go-live and operational transition.

The Role
You will be responsible for leading solution architecture and technical delivery activities across the program, with a strong focus on:
  • Developing end-to-end solution architectures across business, information, application and technology domains
  • Defining HRIS solution designs aligned with business objectives, enterprise standards and other major technology programs
  • Owning the overall technical approach and leading architecture decision-making
  • Identifying and managing architecturally significant requirements and non-functional requirements
  • Providing technical leadership across solution design, vendor deliverables and implementation activities
  • Supporting integration of new functionality with existing systems and business processes
  • Embedding security, privacy, resilience, accessibility and compliance requirements into solution design
  • Chairing technical review groups and documenting key architecture decisions and technical trade-offs
  • Working across Information Security, UX, Data & Analytics, Networks and other technical teams to validate solution designs
  • Managing technical risks, issues, dependencies and design decisions throughout delivery
  • Coordinating external vendors and suppliers to ensure technical deliverables align with architectural requirements

About You
To be successful, you will be an experienced Solution Architect with demonstrated capability delivering complex enterprise technology initiatives, ideally within HR, payroll, workforce management or ERP environments.

You will bring:
  • Demonstrated experience designing logical and physical solution architectures
  • Strong experience delivering complex HR, payroll, workforce management or ERP projects
  • Proven capability operating across both Solution Architecture and Technical Lead responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and contemporary architecture frameworks
  • Experience overseeing solution design, technical decisions, vendor deliverables and implementation activities
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, privacy, information management and compliance requirements
  • Experience defining and assuring non-functional requirements including security, performance, resilience and accessibility
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across business and technical teams
  • Experience managing architecture risks, dependencies and technical trade-offs
  • The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for business stakeholders
  • Strong planning, coordination and delivery capability through go-live and operational handover.
