Solutions Architect

Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Higher Education experience is essential.
  • Strong understanding of student systems and the wider student lifecycle.
  • Experience with SITS, Banner, Ellucian, or other major student information systems is valuable.
  • Experience delivering within major transformation programmes or consulting environments.
  • Background as a Solution Architect, Business Solutions Architect, Student Systems Architect, Senior Consultant, or similar progression from a hands-on student systems role.
  • Enough technical understanding to ask the right questions, challenge technical teams, and understand how different pieces fit together.
Responsibilities:
  • Help universities transition to new student records platforms.
  • Support universities in tackling technical debt.
  • Shape how changes across enrolment, finance, integrations, data, and reporting come together as one coherent solution.
  • Sit between technology, transformation, and the university.
  • Work with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, technical specialists, and technology vendors to shape the overall solution.
  • Ask the right questions and challenge technical teams to ensure the solution fits together effectively.
  • Help shape and grow the student systems transformation capability.
  • Influence how future programmes are delivered.
  • Mentor others within the team.

We are a growing specialist consultancy delivering major student systems transformation programmes across UK Higher Education. This is a hybrid role based around Manchester or Bristol, with client travel when required.
