About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions for enterprise and government customers. This role bridges business objectives with technology strategy, ensuring that cloud platforms, enterprise applications, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operational technologies work together seamlessly.

You will partner closely with customers, business leaders, project managers, and engineering teams to transform business requirements into practical technology solutions while providing technical leadership throughout the entire project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable engaging with executive stakeholders, leading architecture workshops, preparing technical proposals, and guiding engineering teams through implementation and successful delivery.

What You'll Do

Design Enterprise Solutions

• Design end-to-end enterprise architectures spanning applications, cloud services, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, IoT, and AI.
• Develop scalable, resilient, and secure solution architectures aligned with customer business objectives.
• Produce high-level and low-level solution designs, architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
• Recommend technology platforms, products, and integration approaches based on business and operational requirements.

Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture

• Design cloud-native, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure using Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Architect enterprise landing zones, virtual networks, identity services, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
• Lead application modernization initiatives using containers, microservices, serverless computing, and API-first architectures.
• Develop infrastructure architectures that balance performance, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

Enterprise Network & IT Infrastructure

• Design enterprise network architectures including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and secure remote access.
• Develop network segmentation strategies, firewall zoning, VLAN design, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and load-balancing solutions.
• Integrate cloud networking with on-premises data centres through secure connectivity, ExpressRoute, VPN, and hybrid networking.
• Design resilient infrastructure supporting virtualization, storage, compute, and business continuity requirements.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure network performance, resilience, and operational availability.

Systems Integration

• Design integration between enterprise applications, cloud platforms, identity providers, IoT devices, operational technologies, and third-party systems.
• Define API strategies and enterprise integration patterns.
• Ensure interoperability across heterogeneous technology environments.

Security & Governance

• Embed security-by-design principles into every solution.
• Design identity and access management, encryption, monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance controls.
• Ensure architectures align with organisational security standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Participate in architecture governance and technical design reviews.

Customer Consulting

• Lead customer discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and technical presentations.
• Translate business requirements into technology strategies and implementation plans.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer engagement lifecycle.
• Present solution recommendations to executive stakeholders and technical teams.

Pre-Sales & Bid Support

• Support business development through technical solutioning for proposals, RFPs, and tenders.
• Prepare technical responses, effort estimates, solution costing, Bills of Materials, and Statements of Work.
• Collaborate with sales teams to develop competitive and commercially viable solutions.

Project Management and Delivery Leadership

• Provide technical governance throughout project delivery.
• Guide engineering teams during implementation and deployment.
• Review technical deliverables and ensure alignment with approved architectures.
• Support testing, customer acceptance, production deployment, and operational handover.

Innovation

• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to products and services.
• Identify opportunities for automation, AI adoption, cloud optimisation, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to internal architecture standards, reusable solution frameworks, and technical best practices.

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Systems Engineering, or related technology roles.
• Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, enterprise infrastructure, networking, and systems integration.
• Experience leading technical discussions with customers and executive stakeholders.
• Experience supporting technical proposals, tenders, or pre-sales engagements.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams and coordinate project delivery.
