Solutions Consultant – Technical Pre-Sales

Discussion

Auckland | Enterprise Technology

Can you understand a complex customer problem, build the solution and then demonstrate it?

Credisense is looking for a technically capable, commercially minded Solutions Consultant to join our growing team.

This is not a traditional sales role and it isn't a role where you'll simply present demonstrations built by somebody else.

You'll work hands-on with our technology, understand what a prospective customer is trying to achieve, configure a solution and confidently demonstrate it to customer stakeholders.

For the right person, it's an unusual opportunity to combine technology, problem solving and commercial engagement in one role.

The role

You'll work alongside our commercial and technical teams through the pre-sales process, taking customer requirements and turning them into compelling demonstrations and solution concepts.

You'll be involved in:

  • Understanding complex customer requirements and business processes.

  • Configuring and preparing customer-specific solutions and demonstrations.

  • Working with data, APIs and integrations.

  • Translating technical capability into clear business outcomes.

  • Running product demonstrations and solution workshops.

  • Responding confidently to functional and technical questions.

  • Supporting proposals, presentations and customer engagements.

  • Helping shape solutions that can transition successfully into delivery.

This is a hands-on position.

We want someone who enjoys getting into the technology, figuring things out and building something — but who is equally comfortable putting the laptop on the table and presenting it to a customer.

About you

You could currently be working in solutions consulting, technical pre-sales, implementation, business analysis, functional consulting or another customer-facing technology role.

What matters is that you can demonstrate a combination of:

  • Strong problem-solving ability.

  • Good technical aptitude.

  • Experience configuring, implementing or working closely with software platforms.

  • An understanding of APIs, integrations and data.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Confidence working directly with customers.

  • The ability to understand a business problem and translate it into a technology solution.

  • Initiative — you don't need every step documented before you can start.

Experience within fintech, financial services, credit, lending or enterprise software would be advantageous, but we're more interested in capability than matching a checklist.

You don't need to be a software developer.

You do need to enjoy understanding how technology works.

The person we're looking for

There are people who are excellent at presenting software.

There are people who are excellent at configuring software.

We're looking for someone who has the potential to be excellent at both.

You should enjoy learning a product deeply enough to confidently demonstrate what's possible, answer difficult questions and adapt the solution to the customer sitting in front of you.

We'll teach you our platform and our domain.

We're looking for the underlying technical curiosity, commercial awareness and confidence to take it from there.

Remuneration

Base salary + commission

This role directly contributes to our commercial success, and we believe the remuneration should reflect that.

Applying

Along with your CV, tell us briefly about something you've personally built, configured or implemented and then demonstrated or explained to a customer or stakeholder.

What was the problem? What did you personally do? How did you communicate the solution?

We're much more interested in that than a generic cover letter.
