Enterprise Services is part of the Chief Information Office of Santander Technology and Operations, providing enterprise-wide systems and support services that help run and transform the bank’s IT, data and business capabilities. Specifically, this role will support the calculation Regulatory Reporting in CFO.

THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

Enterprise services are looking for a Solutions Design Engineer based out of Milton Keynes.

This role is on a fixed term contract for 20 months.

As an Solutions Design Engineer in Enterprise Services for Regulatory Reporting, you will be responsible for the technical delivery, operation and control of systems, data flows and processes supporting Regulatory Reporting.

The role will act as the principal technical interface between Regulatory Reporting, Finance, Risk, Data and Technology teams. It will ensure that reporting data is complete, accurate, timely, traceable and appropriately controlled from source systems through to reporting platforms and submissions.

In the context of customer migration, the role will lead the technical integration of TSB-originated data into Santander UK reporting architecture, including the design and implementation of data interfaces, reporting configuration, consolidation processes, controls, testing and migration readiness. The role will support reporting across regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Regulatory Reporting workstreams, managing the solution lifecycle from requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, deployment, and post-release support.

  • Define and document fit-for-purpose solution designs, technical integration approaches, data flows, and design patterns aligned to business and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with Business, Technology, Finance, Risk and other stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.

  • Own the delivery of technical and data controls covering data quality, data access, reconciliation, reporting integrity, and regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Manage project dependencies, risks, issues, and delivery blockers, escalating material risks to senior governance forums and providing clear delivery reporting and governance packs.

  • Collaberate and drive the testing strategy and cycles to ensure a robust delivery of the business and technical requirements

  • Use GenAI tools to improve analysis, solution design, documentation, delivery efficiency, and project management activities.

Professional Experience:

  • Proven experience delivering IT projects within banking or financial services (Required)

  • Solid background in regulatory reporting, finance, risk, or data-driven change programmes (Required)

  • Experience translating business and regulatory requirements into robust technology solutions (Required)

  • Demonstrable solution design experience across data, systems, interfaces, and reporting platforms (Required)

  • Good solutions design experience (Required)

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders across Business, Technology, Risk, Finance and Operations (Required)

  • Proven ability to coordinate internal teams, third-party vendors, and technology partners (Required)

  • Understanding of data lineage, data quality, controls, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting processes (Preferred)

  • Experience delivering within regulated environments with good governance, audit, and control requirements (Preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (Required)

Salary Range:
£59,200.00 - £88,800.00 per annum (depending on experience)

This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
