Solutions Engineer
Summary
The Solutions Engineer bridges product, engineering, and customers to drive enterprise sales through demos and POCs using JavaScript, Python, and APIs. They handle the full technical sales cycle on-site in Munich.
About the Role
As the first Solutions Engineer at this early-stage company, you will be the technical backbone of enterprise sales — bridging product, engineering, and customers to prove real-world value in complex deals. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role at the heart of how the business grows.
What You'll Do
Own the full technical sales cycle from initial demo through to a signed customer.
Embed in customer workflows to identify the use cases that best showcase what the platform can do in their specific context.
Join sales conversations as the credible technical counterpart on integrations, data, security, and architecture.
Build proofs-of-concept and demos on real customer data — not idealized scenarios.
Translate deal insights back to the product and engineering team, distinguishing demo-only requests from genuine product needs.
What We're Looking For
2+ years in Solutions Engineering, Technical Customer Success, Technical Consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
Hands-on proficiency in JavaScript and Python, with comfort working with APIs and integration architectures.
Native-level German communication skills — essential for presenting to senior stakeholders and staying composed during live technical demos.
Proven track record delivering proofs-of-concept and live demos using customer data in enterprise deals.
Solid understanding of data security, privacy, and enterprise integration considerations (e.g. ERP/CRM systems).
Ability to uncover the real problem behind a customer request and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Commercial instincts: you can read a room, identify blockers, and help move deals forward.
Comfortable operating in an unstructured, fast-paced early-stage environment where you help build the playbook.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: €80,000 – €130,000 per year. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. This role requires full-time in-person presence.
