Solutions Engineer

Discussion

At Studytube, we're not just another EdTech company from Amsterdam. We've taken on a big challenge: helping organisations close the skills gap and giving employees the room to grow. Our platform shows companies which skills really matter, where the biggest gaps are, and how to tackle them. But real impact takes more than a strong product — it comes from creating relevant experiences, sharp storytelling, and engagement that actually means something.

That’s why we’re looking for a Solutions Engineer who bridges commercial ambition and technical-legal reality. You secure the ‘Technical Win’ in complex sales trajectories and enterprise tenders, acting as trusted advisor so every proposal is commercially winning, technically defensible and fully aligned with client needs and regulatory standards.

What you will do

As Solutions Engineer you own the engineering and advisory layer that turns complex customer requirements into robust, secure solutions across the full sales cycle. You are building the so-called “technical/product champion” alongside the AE in the sales process. Activities that come along with winning customers from the solution engineering perspective are:

  • You design and configure platform solutions for complex enterprise scenarios, including deep integrations, custom roles, automations and external content sources, so every demo and proposal is tailored and technically sound.

  • You analyse RFPs/RFIs and PvE documents, identify gaps, manage the Memorandum of Information (NVI/Q&A) process and craft high-quality qualitative narratives on topics such as security, architecture, accessibility and continuity.

  • You lead technical deep-dives, workshops and on-site UAT sessions, remove blockers in real time and build consensus with IT stakeholders, CISOs and C-level decision makers.

  • You map client IT landscapes, design complex integrations (SSO, AFAS, SAP, Learning Hub/DMS and others) and visualise data flows in professional architecture diagrams.

  • You navigate and translate security & privacy frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, BIO, DORA, Archives Act) into concrete product proof-points and commercial advantages.

  • You act as the bridge between Sales, Engineering, Product and Compliance — harvesting tribal knowledge, feeding market insights back into the roadmap and turning technical complexity into reusable commercial assets.

  • You use AI tools as your daily operating system: analysing lengthy RFPs, generating first-draft responses, accelerating narrative writing and building custom assistants while keeping human-in-the-loop quality and security standards.

  • You measure success by technical wins secured, sales cycles de-risked, time saved for the commercial team and long-term institutional trust built with enterprise clients — not just documents delivered.

Who you are

  • You have 3 to 7 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, Technical Consulting or a similar role at a scaling B2B SaaS company, preferably EdTech or tech. You’ve moved beyond standard demos into complex enterprise solution design and tender support.

  • You have hands-on experience configuring platforms, scoping integrations, working with APIs and data models, and shipping working technical answers under tender deadlines.

  • You’re fluent in both the commercial conversation (with Account Executives and SDRs) and the technical conversation (with architects, CISOs and engineers).

  • You’re AI-native and product-minded: you diagnose requirements, design solutions, ship documentation and iterate with commercial outcomes in mind. AI is your building material.

  • You’re structured, detail-oriented, proactive and able to keep overview across multiple parallel tenders and stakeholder groups.

  • You think commercially — about which technical choices increase win probability, reduce risk and create long-term trust, not just technical elegance.

  • You’re a strong team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to make complex topics accessible and exciting.

  • You speak and write excellent Dutch (English is a plus).
