Solutions Engineering Lead Senior Manager
You Are:
The Solutions Engineering Lead is the primary customer-facing architect, responsible for translating the warfighter's complex mission needs into feasible, end-to-end technical solutions on the War Data Platform. This person will work directly with mission owners and the Solution Consultant team during the intake process to understand requirements, design solution blueprints, and ensure the proposed approach effectively leverages the WDP's existing services and capabilities.
The Work:
- Lead technical solutioning for high-value federal opportunities
- Architect end-to-end solutions addressing complex federal requirements
- Will design the high-level integration patterns, data flows, and service compositions required to solve a specific mission problem, providing the detailed architectural guidance necessary for development teams to begin implementation
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies for diverse stakeholders will be invaluable
Here's What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in solution architecture, technical consulting, and/or systems engineering
- Deep knowledge in 1+ domains: Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), AI/ML and Generative AI, Cybersecurity and Zero Trust, Data platforms and analytics, Application modernization and DevSecOps, or Enterprise integration and APIs
- Experience with working collaboratively organizational leadership
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences
- Workshop facilitation experience leading technical discussions and building stakeholder consensus
Bonus Points If:
- Recommended +5 years of experience supporting federal proposals, RFP responses, and competitive procurements
- Knowledge of federal acquisition (FAR, DFARS, GSA schedules, GWAC vehicles)
- Professional certifications: Cloud (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Architect), Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF, Zachman), Cybersecurity (CISSP, CISM, CAP), or Project Management (PMP, SAFe)
- Executive presence to present to C-suite and senior government officials
- Experience with AI-powered solutioning tools and automation
- Prior experience in content development and thought leadership

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
