Essential Job Functions: Include but are not limited to the following:

- Accurately logs all analysis results
- Reviews entire chemistry profile for process operations
- Directs operators to adjust their respective areas of responsibility in alignment with profile analysis
- Continuously monitors control panel arrays and alarms
- Adjusts plant process temperatures, flow rates, tank levels, and motor amperages as needed to optimize process chemistry
- Balances the feed rate to thickeners as it applies to finished product requirements
- Consistently monitors plant production rates and quality profiles
- Coordinates plant operator's efforts to align with product specifications and plant dynamics
- Responds to incoming radio/telephone calls from maintenance, management, and the power plant
- Directs utility operator to minor plant repairs or other needs
- Maintains accurate logs of all related events
- Follows established safety and housekeeping rules and reports, and/or, corrects unsafe conditions
- Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as required.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: Must have a high school diploma and previous experience or education demonstrating the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation and perform tasks related to maintaining product quality. Experience in a process plant in the mining/minerals industry is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to touch the equipment, handrails, tools, or product; talk and hear to communicate to others; stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
