Sorter Assistant (FPK)
Summary
Sorts and places bales of plastic material onto a conveyor to feed wash line machines in a manufacturing facility, while maintaining area cleanliness and following safety procedures.
The wash line sorter is responsible for sorting and placing bales of material onto a conveyor to feed the wash line machines. The sorter will also assist with the housekeeping in the area as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, the ability to follow instructions, effective communication skills, and the capacity for coordination and control movement.
DESCRIPTION
- Use the right EPP and follow safety procedures.
- Sorting and segregating materials as needed.
- Pushing and handling materials to maintain workflow
- Sweep floors and clean the area to keep it organized and tidy.
- Untangling plastic materials and ensuring smooth operations.
- Drying wet areas to maintain safety and cleanliness.
- Supporting the operation and maintenance of auxiliary equipment

EXPERIENCE
- Experience in Production within a manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIEREMENTS
- Use of hands and fingers for precise movements
- Ability to grab and hold plastic material securely.
- Capability to use both hands simultaneously for different tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures, humidity, and chemicals.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
