Sourcing and Contract Manager (Technology)

We are seeking an experienced Technology Sourcing & Contract Management Specialist to support strategic sourcing, procurement and contract management activities across a complex technology environment. The role will manage sourcing initiatives from planning through to contract establishment, while also supporting the ongoing commercial management, governance and performance of technology suppliers.

Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, legal representatives and vendors, the successful candidate will develop sourcing strategies, lead RFQ, EOI and RFP processes, negotiate commercial arrangements and manage technology contracts throughout their lifecycle. The role will also focus on strengthening supplier governance, managing commercial and contractual risk, monitoring vendor performance and identifying opportunities to improve value from existing arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies and procurement plans for technology goods and services.
• Lead end-to-end RFQ, EOI and RFP processes, including evaluation, negotiation and contract establishment.
• Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, scopes of work and appropriate sourcing approaches.
• Provide commercial, procurement, contractual and risk advice throughout sourcing activities.
• Manage a portfolio of technology contracts across the contract lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain contract management plans, governance frameworks and performance reporting.
• Monitor supplier performance and facilitate regular vendor performance reviews.
• Lead contract negotiations, variations, renewals and commercial discussions.
• Identify and manage contractual, supplier, commercial and procurement risks.
• Drive continuous improvement in supplier governance, contract performance and commercial value.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated IT sourcing and/or technology contract management experience.
• Strong experience delivering end-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing activities.
• Demonstrated experience managing RFQ, EOI and RFP processes.
• Strong commercial evaluation, negotiation and contract establishment capability.
• Experience managing technology suppliers and contracts throughout their lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of contract governance, supplier performance management and commercial risk.
• Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies, procurement plans and commercial recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, commercial, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification and working knowledge of enterprise IT services and technology environments.
