The Sourcing team is seeking a highly experienced Sourcing Program & Materials Program Manager to drive strategic sourcing initiatives that improve material availability, cost efficiency, and supply continuity for key corporate customer engagements within the Fiber Infrastructure BU. In this role, you will directly lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 4 sourcing and materials professionals.

This position requires deep expertise in Design for Sourcing, Build-to-Print, and New Product Introduction (NPI), along with a strong foundation in procurement, engineering, and global supply chain operations. The successful candidate will engage critical suppliers, establish strong cross-functional operating rhythms, and align sourcing strategies with broader business priorities to deliver measurable results across global program. This position reports to the Global Sourcing Leader and will be based in Plano, TX or Matamoros, Mexico.

The successful candidate will engage critical suppliers, establish strong cross-functional operating rhythms, and align sourcing strategies with broader business priorities to deliver measurable results across global program.

This position reports to the Global Sourcing Leader and will be based in Plano, TX or Matamoros, Mexico or Shanghai, CN

Core Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor a global team of 4 sourcing and materials professionals to execute business-critical continuity and cost-out metrics.
  • Program Management: Drive sourcing and procurement programs focused heavily on material availability and cost efficiency for strategic customer initiatives.
  • Early Supplier Engagement: Drive supplier integration into Design for Sourcing and Build-to-Print programs to guarantee manufacturability, cost competitiveness, and long-term supply continuity.
  • NPI Readiness: Partner with Engineering and Product Management to support NPI launch readiness, supplier qualification phases, and manufacturing ramp-up planning.
  • Execution & Standard Work: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans using standard work, timelines, and cross-functional tracking tools.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Build strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders (Operations, Engineering, Product Management, Customer Service) and external suppliers to resolve supply constraints.
  • Operating Rhythm: Drive a regular operating rhythm with teams and key stakeholders to map supplier performance improvements, address bottlenecks, and implement active countermeasures.
  • Supplier Development: Personally engage with critical suppliers at an executive level to resolve chronic material availability issues, mitigate supply risks, and optimize capacity/throughput.
  • Portfolio Streamlining: Collaborate with Commodity and Plant Sourcing teams to streamline supplier portfolios and aggressively reduce material shortages.
  • Financial & KPI Metrics: Monitor, forecast, and report on key sourcing financial metrics and performance KPIs (supplier risk, quality, delivery, and cost savings) to improve business margins.
  • Global Support: Travel to domestic and international supplier sites (~15%) to support supplier development, audits, and high-priority issue resolution

Basic Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Sourcing, or a related technical/engineering field. (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in supply chain, commodity management, and supplier management within a global sourcing and manufacturing environment.
  • Domain Expertise: 3+ years of direct experience working with a global supply base in electronics or hardware manufacturing.
  • Language: Fluency in written and spoken English.
