South East Asia Tour Operations Specialist

As an Operations Specialist, you play a key role in making our trips possible by managing bookings with suppliers, building and maintaining long-term partner relationships, and continuously identifying outstanding accommodations, activities, and service providers (including. DMCs). Your work directly contributes to enhancing our travel products and ensuring seamless, high-quality experiences for our guests.

Note: This is a remote position based in South East Asia. Applications will be considered in English only.
On daily basis, you will
- Own the end-to-end ground operations of our multi-day group tours in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.
- Manage multiple departures, including accommodation, transport, activities, Tour Conductors, payments, and departure logistics.
- Recruit, train, brief, schedule, support, and evaluate Tour Conductors.
- Source, negotiate, contract, and manage suppliers while balancing quality, reliability, and cost.
- Monitor operational KPIs, costs, supplier performance, and traveller feedback.
- Lead the response to disruptions and emergencies during tours.
- Improve and automate operational processes using AI and digital tools.
The basics you bring along
- Professional fluency in spoken and written English and Vietnamese. You can confidently lead calls, negotiations, training, and emergency communication in English.
- Hands-on ground operations experience with a tour operator or DMC operating multi-day group tours in Southeast Asia.
- Proven end-to-end responsibility for reservations, suppliers, logistics, Tour Conductors, payments, and on-tour delivery.
- Strong operational knowledge of Vietnam and ideally Cambodia and Laos.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiation, contracting, cost control, and performance management.
- Experience using KPIs, reports, and operational data to improve quality, costs, accuracy, and supplier performance.
- Confident use of reservation, operations, ERP, CRM, or similar business software, with the ability to learn complex systems quickly.
- A strong digital mindset and openness to learning how AI and automation can reduce manual work and improve operational workflows.
- Ability to manage several departures and resolve operational emergencies independently.

- Experience working for a European tour operator or a DMC serving European tour operators and travellers.
- An existing network of trusted tourism suppliers and industry partners in Southeast Asia.
- Experience developing Tour Conductors through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Practical experience using AI or automation beyond basic prompting to analyse information, reduce manual work, or improve operational workflows.
- Additional language skills including German or French and relevant to Southeast Asia.
