About the Job:
The Nutrition Group is seeking a Floater Kitchen Manager to oversee food production and staff training within a large K–12 school cafeteria operation. Rather than being assigned to one school, the Floater Kitchen Manager travels between multiple School District Seven locations, stepping in wherever support is needed. Responsibilities include supervising daily kitchen operations, ensuring food safety and quality standards are met, training and mentoring cafeteria staff, maintaining compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations, managing inventory and food production, and providing leadership during staffing shortages or special assignments. This position requires flexibility, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to different teams and work environments.
Duties to Include:

Understanding National School Breakfast Program
Understanding National School Lunch Program
Food Preparation on a large production scale
Utilizing Kitchen Equipment
Meeting Company’s Expectations
Understand Company’s Food Concepts
Daily Production Records and Paperwork
Facilitate the execution of catered events as needed
Work with regional chefs to develop and implement recipes

Training School Cafeteria Workers:

Food Production and Recipes Utilization
Understanding Functions of Kitchen Equipment
Meeting Company’s Expectations
Understand Company’s Food Concepts

Qualifications:

At least 1-2 years staff management
Food Service Experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency with reading recipes and basic math conversions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Valid Driver’s License
Must obtain clearances and pass criminal background checks
