Special Education Teacher (English Focus)

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher with an English focus to provide individualized instruction and meaningful support to elementary students in Harrisburg, PA.

Position Overview

• Provide individualized special education instruction to upper elementary level students , supporting English academic, communication, behavioral, social, and functional skill development.
• Develop and implement differentiated instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals and individual learning needs.
• Monitor student progress, maintain required special education documentation, and collaborate with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary team members to support student success.
• Foster a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, independence, positive behavior, and meaningful learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Pennsylvania K–12 Special Education Certification w/ endorsement in English
• Experience supporting elementary students with autism and/or in an Autistic Support or self-contained special education setting preferred
