Summary
Teach and support students with disabilities in a classroom setting, adapting methods to individual needs and collaborating with parents and specialists.
- Assess students’ learning needs and abilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit different disabilities
- Teach basic academic, social, and life skills
- Manage classroom behavior and provide emotional support
- Collaborate with parents, therapists, and school staff
- Track student progress and maintain reports
- Use assistive technologies and inclusive teaching strategies
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability
- Knowledge of different disabilities (Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, etc.)
- Basic teaching or internship experience (preferred)
