Special Needs Therapist (ABA)
Job Summary
You will deliver personalized 1-1 home-based therapy sessions for children, performing assessments, developing creative therapy materials, documenting progress, and collaborating with supervisors to optimize therapy outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individualized 1-1 home-based therapy sessions tailored to each child's needs
- Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate children's developmental and behavioral progress
- Develop creative and engaging therapy materials with provided support to enhance session effectiveness
- Document detailed session notes, goals, and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to track progress
- Set personalized targets based on assessment outcomes and child-specific requirements
- Communicate regularly with parents to update them on their child's progress after each session
- Collaborate with supervisors to continuously improve therapy strategies and outcomes
- Manage scheduling to conduct sessions at student residences, coordinating around your location
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance to ensure reliable therapy delivery
- Participate in 5-7 days of trial training or refresher courses to maintain therapy standards
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Psychology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or related field
- Experience as a behavioral, occupational, or speech therapist
- BCBA certification is welcomed
- Proficiency in English with strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Flexible, fun, and creative personality to engage children effectively
- Availability on weekends is a bonus
- Commitment to a minimum of 3 months
- Open availability ( Able to work Mon to Fri AM and PM shift)
- Willing to travel (Allowance provided)
Other Information
Schedule:
- Two daily shifts available: 0900hrs-1200hrs and 1500hrs-1800hrs
- Weekend availability is advantageous
