Special Officer, Manager

The Special Officer serves as a trusted aide and force multiplier to the CEO of the Business & Asset pillar, managing strategic priorities, coordinating initiatives across the pillar, and ensuring the CEO’s time and focus are directed toward the highest-value matters. The role combines elements of executive aide, project lead, and confidential advisor, requiring sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate across all levels of the pillar and wider organisation.

Responsibilities:

Strategic and Operational Support

  • Act as a primary liaison between the CEO and teams within the Business & Asset pillar, as well as other group functions and external stakeholders.
  • Track and drive progress on the CEO’s strategic priorities and key initiatives, ensuring follow-through and accountability across teams.
  • Prepare briefing materials, talking points, papers, and presentations for internal and external engagements.
  • Conduct research and analysis on market trends, asset performance, partnerships, and business opportunities to support decision-making.

Coordination and Project Management

  • Lead or coordinate special projects and cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the CEO.
  • Attend meetings with or on behalf of the CEO, capture decisions and action items, and ensure timely closure.
  • Manage and prioritise the flow of information, correspondence, and requests directed to the CEO.

Stakeholder and Communications Management

  • Draft and review correspondence, memos, and communications issued from the Office of the CEO, Business & Asset.
  • Support investor, regulatory, and partner engagements relevant to the pillar where required.
  • Represent the Office of the CEO with professionalism and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation.

Confidentiality and Governance

  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion, including matters subject to PDPA and corporate governance requirements.
  • Support compliance with internal policies and relevant reporting obligations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in an executive-support, management consulting, corporate strategy, or business-management capacity.
  • Exposure to the renewable energy, EPCC, asset management, or infrastructure sectors is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project-management abilities.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and adapt quickly to changing demands.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence without authority.
