Special Operations Driver (Class A)

The Special Operations Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently moving trailers and containers within the facility yard, ensuring timely loading and unloading of seafood products while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and cold chain standards. Versatile, high-trust, Class A nigh driver who handles emergency coverage, lang hauls, airport runs, harbor, team substitutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate yard trucks, tractors, or forklifts to move trailers to and from loading docks, staging areas, and storage locations.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff and dispatch to position trailers for loading and unloading of seafood products.
  • Inspect trailers for cleanliness, temperature compliance, and damage before and after movement.
  • Assist in securing loads and ensuring product safety during yard operations.
  • Maintain accurate movement logs and follow scheduling priorities.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard equipment and report maintenance needs.
  • Follow company safety policies, food handling guidelines, and cold storage procedures.
  • Support warehouse operations when needed, including pallet movement or loading assistance.
  • Availability to travel across stateliness once every several months.
  • Able to use of company cell phone during work hours, knowledge to properly use phone features and apps as a form of communication.
