Specialist, Analytic Solution Advisor
The Specialist, Analytic Solution Advisor is part of Nationwide's Enterprise Analytics Office (EAO), helping Nationwide turn business needs into advanced analytics solutions that are developed, implemented, and monitored at scale. Within EAO, the Consulting organization connects business problems with analytic solutions and supports adoption across the enterprise, giving this role broad visibility and meaningful partnership opportunities.
This Specialist role will work as part of the consulting team that directly supports Nationwide Financial. It is a strong fit for someone who enjoys translating business objectives into practical analytics work, partnering across technical and non-technical teams, and helping turn complex questions into clear, decision-useful insight.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, frame opportunities, and shape analytics work that supports meaningful business outcomes.
- Translate business problems into practical analytic approaches, including method selection, data collection, analysis, and presentation of results.
- Use business analytics, data analysis, predictive analytics, and dashboard/reporting capabilities to generate insights and improve decision-making.
- Support change management, process improvement, and solution adoption so analytic work is useful, scalable, and aligned to business needs.
- Build strong relationships across business partners and EAO teams, serving as a trusted advisor on analytics opportunities and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Educational background in analytics, statistics, data science, engineering, business, mathematics, or another quantitative or problem-solving field that supports strong analytical reasoning and business application.
- Experience translating business needs into analytics or reporting solutions and working across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups.
- Experience with data analysis, business analytics, predictive analytics, or dashboard/reporting work that helps inform business decisions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and help drive adoption or change.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with various technologies from big data, relational and SQL databases, unstructured data technology and programming languages such as SQL and Python.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Participates in identifying and delivering advanced analytics solutions. Analyzes business results and trends and patterns in structured and unstructured data to evaluate or define opportunities. Develops/supports communication of insights and recommendations to partners and partners. May lead small projects.
Builds, packages and communicates analytics work (synthesis) using appropriate medium for relevant insights and applicable data visualizations. Uses statistical techniques to determine patterns and predict future business outcomes and trends.
Synthesizes project work. Plans and manages execution of work, participates in planning, and delivers on commitments. May participate in the development of scope, risk/control matrix, project timelines, and assignments.
Participates in the delivery of analytics work that supports business objectives and priorities.
Participates in the design of analytics solutions aligned to business needs using statistical, database and/or general programming languages and tools.
Builds and manages relationships and serve as a trusted business advisor to clients, partners in Enterprise Analytics Office, Nationwide Technology, Advanced Analytics Hubs, and other partners.
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of department processes through ongoing initiatives.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Consultant, Senior Consultant or Director
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in statistics, actuarial science, engineering or related quantitative field, business science or business administration.
License/Certification/Designation: Certifications are not required but encouraged.
Experience: Typically, less than three years of related work experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Advanced analytics application and practices knowledge. Good problem solving, verbal and written communication skills. Proven experience in project management, understanding of data and analytic-centric projects, ability to work on cross-functional teams, project execution
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
